A few things about the artist

I am a photographer at heart (self-taught) and a graphic designer by trade and education.

Over the past year and a half, I have been studying, learning and shooting a lot and that's how the photographer in me came alive. That and all the support from my husband. As cheesy as it might sound he was and is my biggest fan and believed in me and my passion all along. It is quite amazing what that can do and how far that can take you. So thank you my honey! With all my heart. And last, but not least I thank God for the gift and the passion to pursue it and for putting such amazing people in my life to support me.

My style is changing (after all there is a saying - You're only as good as the last image you made.) I keep pushing my creative boundaries, I keep imagining and creating. But one thing I stay true to - capturing the inner beauty and who the subject is on the inside, if that make sense. I especially love photographing kids, and people in love. They don't try to pose or look good - they just are and most do a really good job getting lost in the moment, allowing me to capture them, at their best :)

I'd describe my style right now as lifestyle portrait photography with posed shots as well as those sweet, little 'life as it happens' moments that always make you smile and give you warm fuzzies when you look back.

A little bit more about me... I moved to the United States in 2000. I was born and raised in a communist Romania, in Eastern Europe, to an apolitical family who religiously listened to Radio Free Europe. I could probably say that my father's critical thinking inspired my inquisitive nature and the quest to always be my best, always be thankful and never settle. My upbringing and the culture I grew up in enriched me and brought a different perspective to my artistic eye, and I like to believe, to life in general.

I am very passionate about what I do and while it is more than a job for me, it is not my life. I enjoy cooking for my husband and my family. It is a funny thing - it makes me feel alive :) I love the bounty of flavors in Italian food. I am still fascinated with the ways my daughter Audrey Gabrielle experiences and discovers life every day (she came to us on an early evening late October in 2007)... I love reading a good book, especially a good novel. My favorite movie is probably La Vita e Bella (Life is Beautiful.) Making others smile makes me content. I'd like to visit Ireland, and although Portland, Oregon is now our home, one day we will live in Europe.

...Oh, and I can't forget - one day I will be shooting for Wonder Time Magazine ;)
