A thought on passion and purpose :: Tuesday's random image of the day

...From one of the lovely sessions I had this fall. A good looking family, beautiful places and gorgeous light.

I came across this quote yesterday morning, and it stuck with me:

'Some people ask, “What if I haven’t found my true passion?”
It’s dangerous to think in terms of “passion” and “purpose” because they sound like such huge overwhelming ideas.
If you think love needs to look like “Romeo and Juliet”, you’ll overlook a great relationship that grows slowly.
If you think you haven’t found your passion yet, you’re probably expecting it to be overwhelming.
Instead, just notice what excites you and what scares you on a small moment-to-moment level.
If you find yourself glued to Photoshop, playing around for hours, dive in deeper. Maybe that’s your new calling.
If you keep thinking about putting on a conference or being a Hollywood screenwriter, and you find the idea terrifies but intrigues you, it’s probably a worthy endeavor for you.
You grow (and thrive!) by doing what excites you and what scares you everyday, not by trying to find your passion.'

Cose della vita :: Monday :: Random image of the day

“Life lives, life dies. Life laughs, life cries. Life gives up and life tries. But life looks different through everyone's eyes.”

It is an awesome thing how we all have our own way of seeing and interpreting people and events we come across in life. It sure takes the element of boring out of life and keeps our existence and relationships interesting.
We can always get stuck and stay small by holding on to our own preconceptions of things, or we can grow by simply stepping in the other's shoes and by considering their perspective on reality - not embrace it, but at least consider it.

... From an awesome session with Hannah's sisters.
Thanks for stopping by :)

EWCC Free Card Templates available for download on December 8th

For those who asked, the 3 sets of templates I posted on the blog a couple of days ago, will be available for download on MCP Blog. I'll post a reminder on the 8th as well.

Meantime, if you haven't done it before, do go and visit the blog - a wealth of information and really valuable resources - free actions, tutorials, business tips, interviews. It is definitely a blog you want to add to you reader and follow. One of the later articles - written by guest photographer  Jodie Otte, stirred quite a conversation. Hop over and check it out. As a photographer, you'll find the information very valuable, I believe.

Random picture of the day - Sunday :: Smell the rain...

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”

 Ashley Smith

My search for a random picture of the day took me to this session (take a peek at that post if you haven't done that yet) - she is beautiful, the settings and the weather were perfect and there are a ton more of images that I love from this session. One of these days when I get a moment I should go ahead and create a slideshow of them.

The rain drops in the sunshine make the moment magic. :)
